ECOHOUSING

Is collaborative property a passing trend?

The experience indicates the opposite, it is more than just a trend, it is becoming a tendency. The new legislation related to housing access in different countries favour these models.

Cohousing was founded by the Scandinavians in the 60’s, increasing over the years and successfully running worldwide.

What are the shared common spaces/facilities and services?

It is to be made clear that those who live in collaborative property has a totally private and complete home unit.

Examples of common shared spaces/facilities:

Laundry room, workshop, warehouse, Wi-Fi, garden, fitness room, library or study, guest room(s), kitchen-dining room, recreation/party room. Definitely any other space or service that responds to the hobbies of the persons that is a part of the community.

How do I participate?

The main difference, a well organised common area of facilities and services, Depending on each formed group with the intention to self-organise, can reach to quite a significant amount of savings, as in the cost of maintenance, specific services for child and senior care, gardening, carpool, purchase of bulk groceries and consumer products, to name a few, Other groups may decide to recruit in collective form, external cleaning or infirmary services. Definitely, like everything else, you get to decide your level of participation.

Are collaborative properties more expensive than the traditional properties?

One of the objectives of our model of collective cohousing is its fair price, avoiding unnecessary expenditures or commissions with third parties who do not contribute any added value in the co-process.

Important factors are better financing of the project, to be borne by the cohousers, external public or private incentives, subsidies for group purchase and discounts for higher quality materials.

The biggest part of the savings will come from eliminating the PROFITS OF THE PROPERTY DEVELOPER. Back by OUR TEAM, the COHOUSERS are responsible for the Project.
